C.P. Jennewein Infant Mercury Bronze Sculpture: Carl Paul Jennewein (American, 1890-1978), circa 1920, bronze on green stone column base, titled, ‘Young Mercury’ or ‘Infant Mercury’, depicting a running child, mounted to a column base of darkgreen, mottled stone. Base of the bronze incised, 'C. P. JENNEWEIN' and 'P. BU. CO. MUNICH MADE IN GERMANY' (Pressmann Bauermer Co. foundry). Dimensions are: 12“ tall X 4“ wide. All measurements are approximate.Examples of this piece can be found in the permanent collections of the Tampa Museum of Art, Gift of Patricia Thorn Rouleau, given in memory of Allan Stewart Thorn, 1999.008 and the Yale University Art Gallery, 2018.7.1.
