June Art & Antiques with Fine Jewelry and Timepieces June 19, 2021
Oakridge is excited to share the results of its June auction of Art & Antiques with Fine Jewelry and Timepieces, which took place this past Saturday, June 19th. Although it was a bit of a smaller sale, our auctioneer, Ms. Jennifer Clary, kept up a swift pace, and we ended the day with a total realized price of over $130,000 USD.
Several of our star lots outperformed their high estimates, including the Pablo Picasso Madoura Plate B, which sold for $4,750 USD, and the popular pair of George Nakashima “New Chairs,” which sold for $4,500 USD. However, the most unexpected lot of the day was a simple yet elegant gilt bronze and marble Neoclassical sculpture of a Greco-Roman goddess, whose hammer price of $6,500 USD far exceeded its humble high estimate of $150 USD.
On behalf of everyone at Oakridge, we would like to thank all of our bidders for participating in our auction. We look forward to having you join us again soon!
